Alexa Ray Joel Hospitalized - Did She Overdose?

Sunday December 6, 2009

Following a 911 call, Alexa Ray Joel was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in NYC on Saturday. While you might not immediately know the name, you'll recognize her as the daughter of musician Billy Joel and model Christie Brinkley. Rumors were flying that Alexa Ray, 23, had overdosed on pills. But why? She allegedly took a homeopathic medication called Traumeel, which may have caused breathing problems.

A source told People: "She was apparently distraught over an argument with her boyfriend." Similarly to Lady Gaga, Alexa Ray also spoke openly last year about her battle with darkness and forms of depression. At the time, she said, "I can get very dark. I can get very in my own head and depressed as many other artists can."

Alexa has two upcoming NYC performances scheduled, including one at the New York Stock Exchange tree lighting ceremony on Thursday. Will she show up? That remains to be seen.

Did Lindsay Lohan and Cash Warren Hook Up?

Friday December 4, 2009

We're always hearing one story or another about Lindsay Lohan and her many romantic encounters. If you can call them romantic, of course. But now we're hearing rumors that Lindsay, 23, was allegedly spotted hooking up with Cash Warren. You might know him as actress Jessica Alba's husband and baby daddy.

A well known tabloid alleged to have sources who saw the two making out at a club in LA. Now People has a source claiming otherwise. "The reports are totally untrue. They never hooked up. The two know each other professionally, they are friendly - that's it."

While Cash certainly appears to be an upstanding family man, knowing Lindsay and her scandalous past, anything is possible.

Tiger Woods Makes an Official Statement

Wednesday December 2, 2009

With the gossip mills running absolutely wild, Tiger Woods decided to finally make a statement to the press. Immediately after Tiger crashed his Escalade into a fire hydrant and a tree on November 27, the tabloids began speculating.

What was he doing out in the wee hours of the morning? And why did he have random facial injuries when the airbag in his car deployed? People were saying that perhaps his wife assaulted him with a golf club. But why?

Rumor has it that Tiger has allegedly been carrying on an extramarital affair for over two years - behind his wife Elin's back. Supposedly, when she found out, she went crazy and attacked him. While Tiger never confirmed or denied the chatter, he did release the following statement today on his personal website:

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he writes. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect."

Lady Gaga Admits to Battling Depression

Tuesday December 1, 2009

In an interview with Ok! magazine, mega star Lady Gaga admitted to struggling with a form of depression for many years. She said: "I have a chronic sadness that recurs. The lowest point was in Australia in May. I was overwhelmingly sad, and I didn't know why, because I had all these things to be happy about."

Rather than allow it to ruin her, Lady Gaga found a way to incorporate the sadness into her music. Perhaps it's her own personal form of therapy?

She went on to say: "I went to the studio and played for hours, and I wrote what is going to be the greatest record of my career. I remember watching the mascara tears flood the ivories. I've been trained to love my darkness."
