Tom Cruise Reads His PR Script to Diane Sawyer

Tom Cruise spoke to Diane Sawyer in what can only be described as a fluff piece interview this past Friday night on ABC's Primetime. Not only did every question seem contrived, but the responses sounded completely pre-rehearsed. I wouldn't classify it as investigative journalism, since we didn't really learn anything new.

Tom confirmed that he and Katie Holmes are not conflicted in any way when it comes to their beliefs. Tom told Diane, "You can be Catholic and be a Scientologist. You can be Jewish and be a Scientologist, but we're just Scientologists."

He also confirmed what we all already know - his fiance is so much younger than him that he thinks of her as a child. When asked about his feelings for Katie Holmes, Tom said, "She is extraordinary. She loves cupcakes. She loves to laugh." I think the last time I had a cupcake was at my Barbie-themed eighth birthday party!
