Tom Cruise on a Mission to Promote His New Movie

In honor of the release of blockbuster Mission Impossible III today, Tom Cruise has been taking on Manhattan with a fever that can only be matched by his days spent as couch jumper. His promotional escapades in the Big Apple have included everything from showing up in helicopters, fire trucks, motorcycles, and speedboats to subway trains and bright orange sports cars.

He also made numerous television appearances, none of which included a visit with his arch nemesis, NBC's Matt Lauer. Cruise lashed out at Lauer last year when he basically called him an idiot while referring to himself as some kind of medical genius on the subject of postpartum depression. I'm sorry, but the last time I checked, you had to finish many years of medical school before you could technically call yourself a doctor. Although, he and Katie Holmes did foolishly buy their own sonogram machine - does he get any course credits for that?
