In a poll of 1,013 adults taken over the same weekend that Mission Impossible III opened in theaters, only 35 percent of people voted in favor of Tom Cruise. 51 percent had a less than favorable opinion, meaning that they've clearly witnessed some of his recent antics. From jumping on couches over Katie Holmes to dissing Brooke Shields, Tom has been loving that spotlight.
USA Today noticed that Tom's popularity with women took a major hit, dropping from a 56 percent favorable rating in 2005. Could it be that he insulted women everywhere when he wrote off postpartum depression as nothing serious? Maybe they should poll new mothers - I'll bet those numbers would hit the floor.
