Halle Berry Gets Heated

Saturday May 20, 2006
Halle Berry was a guest on Chris Moyles' BBC radio show on Thursday to promote her new movie X-Men when things got a little heated. The host did an impersonation of what he called "a big fat black guy" and let's just say Halle was less than pleased. The Oscar winner snipped back with, "Are we having a racist moment here?" A spokesman for BBC later dismissed any racism on the part of Moyles. I guess this means we'll be seeing Halle on Oprah next week whining about her painful interview. This woman will clearly stop at nothing to promote her new flick.

(1) Mavis Edwards says:

I have read about this interview and I believe Halle was justified in what she did. Don’t “hate” on Halle or Oprah. It is obvious you don’t like her or may feel she has issues. It sounds like you got an issue. You read a whole lot into that question Halle posed to the DJ. Remember that she not only represents the black race she represents the white race too and she , in my opinion represents both very well. You will never be as pretty or as rich as Halle OR Oprah and that probably bothers you. Be honest. Be objective (real journalist). Don’t play down what happened. You weren’t there. Oh I forgot you are a “gossip” columnist. Sorry.

(2) Jeffrey Franklin says:

Who elected Mr. Mavis Edwards or Halle to represent ‘both’ races? Ms. Berry is a wonderfully seasoned actress and a successful movie promoter. I’m sure the shareholders of Newscorp will be well represented by her little dramaversy at the box office as well.
