Happy Brangelina Day?
Friday May 26, 2006
Could we be marking our calendars for an official Brangelina Day? The residents of Namibia are split on their feelings towards the impending birth of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's future celebrity love child. A local radio station took a little survey and asked fellow Namibians how they felt about declaring a national holiday in honor of Brangelina giving birth in their country. When asked if she thought Brangelina's baby was worthy of the honor normally given to kings and queens, the DJ said, "We have a tie, it's 50-50." Clearly the 50 percent in favor are blissfully unaware of Angelina's wacky history.

It seems that the royal parents of Lady Brangelina have been given official posts in the government of Namibia. The gossip I heard is that proud expecting parents are now ’signing off’ on Visas. The Prime Minister Nahas Angula has seemingly annointed them as the final decision-maker to requests for entry to the once little-known African country.
Is Mr. Franklin suggesting that Brad and Angelina will not be offering Amnesty to Journalists found to have entered Namibia illegaly without a proper work-visa?
