Penelope Cruz and Matthew McConaughey Break Up

People magazine is reporting that Penelope Cruz, 32, and Matthew McConaughey, 36, are taking a break, for now at least. "They have decided to take time off as a couple. Due to busy work schedules and so much time apart, they mutually decided four weeks ago that separating was the best thing to do at this time," according to a joint statement from the gorgeous couple.

Four weeks ago and we're just hearing about this now? I guess Penelope needed time to grieve for the demise of her second celebrity relationship in a row. She was previously linked to actor Tom Cruise and I'm still scratching my head over that one.
