Hilary Swank: My Husband the Actor Addict

Hilary Swank, 31, is finally talking about the reason behind her sudden split from Chad Lowe, 38. The couple had been together for over 13 years before they called it quits in January of this year amidst many rumors. Some speculated that the breakup came as a result of Hilary's star shining so bright that it hurt Chad's little eyes. Others thought there may have been a marital indiscretion on his part.

Hilary set the record straight in a tell-all interview with Vanity Fair and she wasn't holding anything back. She cited Chad's past substance abuse as one of the main reasons that the marriage failed. She basically likened the experience to being on an emotional rollercoaster. Good news though, as the Oscar winning actress is finally at peace with her decision. "I'm the happiest I've ever been. I'm doing the right thing for myself," she told the magazine.
