Christie Brinkley Calls it Quits on Fourth Marriage
Thursday July 13, 2006
CoverGirl model Christie Brinkley called it quits on yet another marriage as she and architect husband Peter Cook split after 10 years together. "Yes, it's true. The couple has separated," publicist Elliot Mintz reported in a statement. Brinkley, 52, and Cook, 47, have a daughter together, Sailor, 8. Christie also has a 20-year-old daughter, Alexa, from her marriage to Billy Joel and an 11-year old son Jack from her brief Hollywood marriage to Richard Taubman. Should we be calling Christie the modern day Elizabeth Taylor? It's not so far fetched as this would be the fourth divorce for the gorgeous model. Not a great track record by my standards, but who are we to judge?
Christie Brinkley's Track Record:
- Married to Jean-Francois Allaux (1973-81)
- Married to singer Billy Joel (1985-94)
- Married to developer Richard Taubman (1994-95)
- Married to architect Peter Cook (1996-?)

Oh christie you were always the type of woman people would look up to not simply for your looks, but for your style and poise and the way you handled yourself..it is pretty sad that can’t be said anymore.. it is more like ‘christie been around the block a few times and plans on going around a few more’ to bad, personally your looks and reputation have gone down the drain…
To the other two commentors: May you be publicly flogged for your poor choices and may you have your face rubbed in every mistake you’ve made for the rest of your lives! She has dealt with a lot and I’m sure had some confusing years growing up in front of the camera. I’m sure it can be tough being so beautiful and wealthy, men lie and decieve you just to get in your pants, purse and in the spotlight even when you’re not her. She’s just looking for someone who genuinely loves her and isn’t attracted to her for her face, name and money. Sometimes that’s hard to distinguish.
