Is Nick Lachey Buying a Baseball Team?

Jessica Simpson's ex, Nick Lachey, told People magazine that he is about to become part owner of a baseball team, the Tacoma Rainiers, an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. "It had always been a dream of mine to be involved in team sports in general, especially on a local level in your hometown," Nick, 33, told the magazine. A few years back, an opportunity for Nick to buy the Cincinnati Reds came and went, so he jumped at this chance.

The singer grew up in Cincinnati, where he believes baseball is considered a religion. That may be, but if you want to see true believers, head over to Yankee Stadium or Fenway Park on any given day and you won't be dissapointed.
