John Mayer and Jessica Simpson Break Up

John Mayer and Jessica Simpson have broken up, according to People magazine. John and Jessica have always kept us guessing as to the status of their relationship by playing cat and mouse with the media. Unfortunately for them, the games appear to be over for now. The writers at PerezHilton seem to think that John grew tired of Jessica and definitely dumped her this time. One source even told People that the breakup may be temporary with the two still emailing and speaking on the phone several times a day. Why even bother continuing to speak to each other? Unlike Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, it's an inevitable truth that John and Jessica never had a future.

I think Jessica is looking for someone to love but she is too tied to her father’s apron strings. She will never be happy as long as he is involved in her business. He is looking out for himself and not his daughter….
