Spoiled Heiress Paris Hilton Reports to Jail

Monday June 4, 2007
Paris Hilton has officially turned herself over to the police and is serving her time in jail. Even though the spoiled heiress was able to get her jail time reduced from 45 to 23 days, she could end up serving less than planned. Reports claim that Paris could be released within the week if she's smart enough to maintain good behavior. Paris will be biding her time at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, south of Los Angeles.

She'll be in her own private area away from general population receiving special treatment for the fact that she's a celebrity. What is she even famous for anyway? Does partying with your daddy's money and releasing a few scandalous tapes qualify you for the title? She released the following personal statement through her lawyer, which was undoubtedly written by her PR team:

"I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes. This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence."

Good luck to the spoiled little rich girl in jail and I'm sure we'll be seeing her back on the party circuit before the week is even out!

wow she’s going to “take more of an active role in the decisions she makes”!

What a freaking PRINCESS. Someone please give her a reality check in the slammer!!

(2) Mary says:

What a crock – because she is a celebrity she is out in less than a week and kept out of the general population. Trust me if it was you or I, we would be given the entire 45 days, and be in the general population. Just because you have money should not dictate how you are treated. I hope the next time she does this they throw the book at her.

In my opinion she is a spoiled little rich bitch used to getting her own way.

(3) Norm says:

What a Crock is right. I am tired of listening to Paris Hilton in the News. She is really nobody…and they should make her serve her time like anyone else would have to….

Sad creature……..as Neil Diamond sang: ” Money talks..”

(5) Gia says:

Who CARES?!?!?!?!

She’s an overprivileged, spoiled, drunken brat who thinks we are all supposed to feel sorry for her….

Shame on her parents who didn’t have the good sense to raise their daughters not to be society ho’s

June 4, 2007 at 2:15 pm
(6) Diane says:

The girl is only a celebrity because of her family’s money. She should not be treated any differently then any normal person. She should serve her full sentence. Maybe it will teach her and others to grow up and accept responsibility for their actions

June 4, 2007 at 2:15 pm
(7) William says:

Why do you keep reading Paris Hilton stories if you are so tired of listening to her? No one made you read this story or any other.

June 4, 2007 at 2:19 pm
(8) Janice says:

She should serve the entire 45 days…. money really talks!

June 4, 2007 at 2:26 pm
(9) Jenny says:

It is undemocratic that there are two fully functional legal justice systems in this country. One for the rich and famous and one for the rest. Bummer if you don’t rate the first group!

June 4, 2007 at 2:32 pm
(10) Janet says:

I want to be rich, beautiful and live without worry of accountability too!

June 4, 2007 at 2:32 pm
(11) Jerry says:

It’s time to stop pampering the rich, spoil people. If the common person got popped for violating any probation you would be taken out of the courtroom in cuffs, taken to the jail to serve oput the remainder of the sentence that they were give plus the additional for the violation of probation. 23 days will teach Paris nothing.

(13) ken says:

As i sit here and read all the responses to “paris”YOU ALL MAKE HER FAMOUS, by responding to or leaving a comment on her situation!I have been in a couple duii situations and done my time, and it upsets me that she gets less time than the less popular people.but when you make comments it just make them more popular.

June 4, 2007 at 3:03 pm
(14) Rachel says:

My daughter was convicted of a DUI. She had her driver’s license suspended; perform community service; attend counseling and AA meetings; attend MAD meetings as well as pay multiple fines. This was her first conviction, and yet it served a powerful lesson. I am appalled, angry, sickened and disgusted by the double-standard the law has for those with money in our country. I never thought that I would be in a position to bad-mouth our system.

June 4, 2007 at 3:07 pm
(15) camille says:

I am a counselor at an addiction treatment facility for women. I can assure you that none of the women here got a light slap on the wrist for violating their probation. It is really pathetic that just because she is rich and “famous” (for no apparent reason) that she gets off so easy. Send her here for 9 months to a year of treatment. I sure my ladies here would be more that happy to give “Ms Hilton” a dose of reality.

June 4, 2007 at 3:15 pm
(16) Snark says:

I wonder if Paris can walk and chew gum at the same time?

June 4, 2007 at 3:16 pm
(17) Terri says:

After her week in jail, she will be right back in the swing of things and will have learned absolutley nothing. It’s a 7 day vacation for her. What a sham our justice system is and money does talk!

June 4, 2007 at 3:28 pm
(18) William says:

It is ridiculous to assume any kind of justice system is fair 100% of the time. Anytime you take a single case and say this proves our justice system is a sham or does not work, you are implicitly make the requirement that the justice system always be fair.
If you want to take money out of the criminal justice system, then get rid of the private criminal attorney. And fund the public defender system so that everyone gets a fair chance. Until you are willing to pay for this, the justice system will be about who can pay for the best defense.

(19) Calliejay says:

Poor little Paris. She won’t like being locked up for 22/7 and no one around. Not even her little dog. Wonder if it gets to go with her? She should be made to go to MADD meetings and do some community work too. It would look good on her, then she’ll know how the other half lives and it’s not the Simple Life!! Yep, poor little rich girl.

Paris Who??? I don’t even watch/listen to the national news anymore. I’m tired of hearing about celebs drunken escapades on the national news. If they do the crime they should do the time – same of the rest of us.

June 4, 2007 at 3:44 pm
(22) Angie says:

I agree with everything that has been said about the two justice systems. In theory Justice is suppose to be blind and all people treated equally. Too bad that really doesn’t happen. With the dollar loosing value each day and all of the other problems the U.S. is facing it would be nice to be assured that justice is at least consistent.

(23) Robyn Smith, 16 says:

i cant belive she might be only doing 1week!! what a spoilt brat! she needs shooting!! shes such a whore!! shes nothing just like the rest of the plastics!! why cant there be more normal celebs like normal people and stop the famous people, who worked hard to make it famous, having spoilt little children that think there it!!

June 4, 2007 at 3:57 pm
(24) Lindy says:

she is a special unit for her own protection; being who she is and having the money her family does puts her in an extremely dangerous situation with other inmates who will take advantage of her and her background any way possible; it keeps the peace easier for the guards; keeps others from getting themselves into trouble and protects her life — that is a very real reality in any jail so if you knew more about the realities and quit concentrating on her spoiled attitude, you would know why the authorities and noone else are making the decisions of where she will be. What she needs is some serious intervention into her lifestyle and behavior habits on top of a reality check to life.

June 4, 2007 at 4:06 pm
(25) MASON says:

IT JUST SHOWS HOW SCREWED UP OUR JUDICIAL SYSTEM REALLY IS. WHY SHOULD SHE GET SPECIAL TREATMENT. ANY NON-WEALTHY PERSON WOULD GET THE FULL 45 DAYS IN JAIL. SHE IS REALLY JUST A RICH NO BODY AND HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING SPECIAL, EXCEPT SPEND MONEY THAT SHE HAS NOT EARNED. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP.

June 4, 2007 at 4:18 pm

(27) oldgold says:

should get more time just for being stooopid! with her money i would have a car and driver for each direction i wanted to go whenever i wanted to go. what if she had hit and killed someone you loved?

June 4, 2007 at 4:24 pm
(28) TChan says:

Why does everyone think she’s getting special treatment? I know someone with 2 dui’s who didn’t do any jail time. And Rachel, who’s daughter has one, also has not done any jail time. People need to do their research and know the facts before making comments. Look up DUI statistics on the internet and you’ll see she’s been giving a harsher sentence than most. Not sympathizing, just irritated when people make comments without getting facts.

Put her in a cell & throw the key away. Also have her work in the laundry giving her the dirtiest smelliest clothes to wash.

Paris should also perform community service with people less fortunate then her.

June 4, 2007 at 5:33 pm
(31) Bubbles says:

Why do we have to hear anything about her? The media is to blame – we who might want to catch up on the news are assaulted with this banal crap about an irresponsible spoiled brat. Who cares? Stop telling us about her & Brittany and any other moronic sluts who can’t manage their own lives. Not a nice example for impressionable kids to hear about. Reporting this sort of stuff is just as good as approval to a kid. Maybe even glamorous! (Imagine that)

(33) Patti says:

Our justice system sucks. I just don’t get what that word means anymore . Police don’t have to use signals when driving and Rich people pay off judges to get better treatment. Illegal means nothing when you come across a border of a country and even when done without the proper red tape you still get benefits of citizens such as medical and much more.We are letting our morals go what will be next.

June 4, 2007 at 8:56 pm
(34) Shawn says:

I work at a jail and maybe there should be some concern for her safety a little-the worse maybe is a well deserved beating for being so reckless. She can have a private cell in lockdown and get 1 hour out in 24 and work around the jail at night cleaning and taking out trash till her time is done. I think the judge was fair in sentencing but lawyers and money have a way of fixing things. Most of you are right though, she wont learn anything beucase she stil has her fame and money and didnt stay in jail long enough (maybe prison would have been better if for only a week?) and We all need to stop paying attention to her especially the media.

June 4, 2007 at 9:34 pm
(35) Leslie says:

I remember that her mother has a TV program where she ostensibly taught us blue collar types how to be prim and oh so proper at the dining table. Me thinks it is she that needs a refresher course in bringing up baby. Talk about white trash.I think momma just taught baby how to give a great BLOW ___, just like the one she gave Mr. Hilton….it’s ridiculous that they attempt to masquerade as the peak of good taste.

(39) Tina says:

Dear Everyone,
I think Paris Hilton should have served such time as IS NORMAL for a ‘regular jill’ in her situation–and NO special privileges. She should do some regular hard work, too.
The judge was ’starstruck’ and didn’t treat her like everyone else. How wil lshe learn(if she can) responsibility and civic awareness if she’s treated like royalty(which she’s definitely NOT?)?
It infuriates me, this inequity.
Peace!

(40) Lee Zebold says:

Paris has things to learn, but we all do. She has her own hell to pay – life does not forgive any of us. what may seem unfair to some does not allieviate her pain and fear. We all have to walk our own path. Have some forgiveness and grace not hatred. It all works out in the end.

Paris you make me sick.

(44) Deja Lu says:

It’s annoying how the world has so much crap in it nowadays. I feel sick to be part of such an ignorant generation…There’s this one girl in my class who adores Paris. I think she’d give her life for Paris. Anyhow, I know she is a drunkie and smokes a lot, and she picks on other people (mostly the “good kids” who beg to differ in a world of underage drinking and smoking and whatnot). This is what’s happening to our world. Teenagers take the people they see are “successful” as role models in hopes of achieving a similar status because they think they’ll be happy. Who is to blame for the negative effects “stars” such as Paris have on our society? I don’t know if it’s the justice, but this world is really screwed up.

(45) Robert says:

After the recklass remarks Paris has made about other individuals,,Public Shool ###and other Slurs …I was shocked that she had an Aunt and Uncle that were white trash????????Never would have guessed..Paris mother hit gold when she got married!!!!!!

June 6, 2007 at 1:23 pm
(46) PK says:

Paris would have a really hard time in the general population section of the jail. As many people bad mouthing her here, imagine the 24/7 verbal abuse she would have to take in the general population. Imagine how many of the tougher women in the jail would want to make their name by being able to say they tore her hair out or gave her a black eye or beat her up. Paris could really get seriously hurt.

She is in jail for several driving offenses, not to get beat up or killed.
I would expect any regular person who goes to jail would also have the expectation of NOT getting beat up or killed.

Isolation is a very hard thing/way to live. Even a week would be difficult for any person.

June 6, 2007 at 7:58 pm
(47) ryan says:

i agree with PK. putting her with the general population is more risky for her than for the avarage person. i don’t know why people always talk her down, of all the celebrities out there she’s the only one that does what she wants to. she doesn’t give two stuffs what you think of her. she’s enjoying her life as would any of us with that kind of money.

June 6, 2007 at 8:05 pm

“Wow. Someone has issues at Ultramediacorp. I actually liked the article and found it funny if you must know. I know what Paris is famous for….being a slut! – Comment by Dan G — June 6, 2007 @ 9:27 pm”

LOL@Dan,, and you say I have issues? It never ceases to amaze me the double standards “studs” like Dan live with. First of all I didn’t say I “Must” know. So what you think of me and my issues is none of my business. Secondly, whether or not YOU say she is a “slut” is really irrelevant. You prove my point about judgemental people and I appreciate your volunteering such ignorance about her sexual habits. I guess if you choose to have sex with who you want to where you want to and how you want to, makes you a “stud” but if a woman wants that same freedom, people like you call them “sluts”. That isn’t the most ironic part of your post however.. No the part where you can say I HAVE ISSUES ha ha Now THAT is funny.

Lets see now Ultra has issues, Paris is a slut and ummm Dan,, just what are you???

The alternative?

(51) Zildjian says:

And the most important thing to remember is that the families with actual power – the one’s who believe your name should appear in the paper twice: when you’re born and when you die, simply call up the Governor and have it all taken care of quietly. But then again, it takes more than physical age to be old money.

Richard: Let me ask you something. A famous celebrity and yourself are both caught driving without your licenses; you get two months in prison and have to go through counselling, while the other person gets a week only. How would you feel?

Seriously, man…she did the crime; she should suffer the consequences of her actions. Own up to your responsibilities as a member of the human race, Paris!!!

(55) Ultramediacorp says:

Of all the miscarriage of justice that goes on in this country, everyone wants to make THIS the BLOCKBUSTER of Judicial indignation??

Between Robert Blake, Michael Jackson and O.J. Simpson getting off scott free,, I guess many desire to see Paris Hilton made an example.

California is gonna get tough on heinous celebrity crime lol.

She is IN JAIL! SHE IS OUT OF JAIL! NO ,, NO NO WAIT,, YES,, PARIS IS BACK IN JAIL!

sheesh,, the whole issue is pathetic.

C’mon Paris,,use this as an opportunity to make a new video.

Perhaps some of these might inspire some ideas.
