Are Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Engaged to be Married?

Contrary to rumors, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden claim that they are not secretly engaged to be married. At least that's what their PR people are saying in response to recent gossip. This particular bit of gossip all started when Nicole was seen sporting a diamond encrusted band on the very finger that would normally hold an engagement ring. Taking it up a notch, photographers caught her new beau Joel sporting a very similar ring on the same finger of his left hand.Could there be any truth to the rumors? If so, this wouldn't be Nicole's first attempt at a walk down the aisle. Nicole was previously engaged to DJ AM, who is currently linked to Mandy Moore, who allegedly hooked up with Wilmer Valderrama, who was also linked to Ashlee Simpson. I could go on forever playing six degrees of separation, but who has the time?

It’s possible that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are engaged,but I highly doubt it.Nicole will do anything to get on the front page of a tabloid.
If they are engaged,then I wish them well.
I agree, it is possible that they are engaged, especially since now every magazine is saying Nicole Richie is pregnate too…who would be the father? Joel? Or another mystery man? Hmmm…we will have to wait and see!
