Paula Abdul Talks to Matt Lauer About the Drinking Rumors

This morning, Paula Abdul talked to Matt Lauer about the constant rumors that she has a drug and/or drinking problem. I watched the interview myself and for the first time in a while, Paula actually appeared to be awake, alert and pretty clear headed. Either Paula took a break from her normal “breakfast” or her PR team did a stellar job helping her to prepare those rehearsed lines. After a few moments of chit chat, the Today Show host dove right in and asked Paula about one of the scandalous interviews in which she clearly appeared to be intoxicated. Paula quickly replied, "I've never been drunk in my life, Matt. I’ve never been drunk in my life. I’ve never been drunk. I’ll have an occasional sip of wine or a drink that has an umbrella on it. I’ve never been addicted to pain killers. Pain killers don’t work for me."
Come on, isn't this the same information that Anna Nicole Smith used to try and feed the media? Why did Paula feel the need to repeat her statement three times? In the words of good old Shakespeare, methinks the lady doth protest too much.

Paula might not drink,but it’s quite evident that she abuses painkillers.
If Paula were smart,she would avoid the press as much as possible.The more interviews she does,the stranger she seems.
After recently viewing Paula’s reality show Hey Paula, it saddens me to see that this is a woman who appears to have lost total control of her life. Anyone who believes that Paula does “not” have some type of severe dependency problem is, indeed, living in a “dream world”. Open statement to Paula. Get some help! There is still time to turn yourself around. Please don’t end up like Anna Nicole.
Paula is high on something, and it’s not life. That girl has some problems.
paula was just trying to make a point. on tuesday’s rachael ray show, she said u should’nt believe gossip. 90% of it is not true. i am paula’s biggest fan. she- if u new half of her life, u’d leave her alone. so do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by the way, i;m 10 yrs old.
