Actress Naomi Watts Gives Birth to a Baby Boy

Naomi Watts gave birth to her first child with fellow actor Liev Schreiber yesterday, according to People magazine. They named their new son Alexander Pete Schreiber, who weighed in at a healthy 8 lbs., 4 oz., according to their rep.

It's kind of refreshing to see a Hollywood couple choose such a traditional name for their baby. Naomi, 38, and Liev, 39, could have easily followed the lead of other celebrities who wanted something more "original." Remember Gwyneth's little bundles of joy named Apple and Moses? How about Julia Roberts and Danny Moder opting for Hazel and Phinnaeus for their twins?
