Britney Spears Investigated for Alleged Animal Cruelty

In addition to the frightening risk of surrendering custody of her two sons, Britney Spears came very close to losing her dog, according to HandBag. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in LA went over to Britney's mansion to look into allegations of possible mistreatment of her Yorkshire Terrier.

The group quickly responded to reports that her dog's broken leg had gone untreated. Luckily for the pop star, her veterinarian was able to send over a written statement proving otherwise. That's one less thing for Brit to worry about as her ex-husband Kevin Federline gathers evidence that she is an unfit mother. That may be true, but what makes K-Fed an expert?
