Don't adjust your screens because you did read that headline correctly. Lynne Spears, 52, the mother of Britney Spears, 25, is writing a book on parenting. It gets worse because there's actually someone out there willing to publish the thing.

"We've signed her to a deal. It's a parenting book that's going to have faith elements to it. I don't think it's totally been written yet," a rep for publisher Thomas Nelson told Us Weekly.

The book, set to be released on Mother's Day, is titled Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World. I have a better title for it - "How to Successfully Raise a Train Wreck Daughter in Hollywood." Let's be honest, that's an area in which Lynne has had plenty of experience.

It’s not a parenting book. It’s a book about how she became mother of the year. Good thing it’s not done yet, since her youngest seems to be trying to outdo her oldest.

I feel very sorry for her daughter. There seems to be no one including the “parent” who has a clue on how to raise children, nor how to sit them down and give them the time of day to let them know they need to stop, think and listen to what others are trying to tell her. Brittany must feel her world is out of her control, but no one is giving her the good advice on how to get back into it again. She’s hurting, and while I feel she must be held accountable for what she is doing, especially to her children, she needs to be told that “she” and only she, with help can turn her life around before “she looses everything”. There is always hope, even with a mother like she has. She’s not the first person that has gotten messed up with drugs, but she’s got to “want” something better for herself before she can get better. She needs 24/7 help and counseling. I hope someone can talk her into it. Her children should be her motivation. Let’s hope they are enough!

Using Brittany’s kids to motivate her hasn’t helped so far. She’s spoiled and shallow, thanks to mommie dearest. Now her two kids are caught in a nightmare. The real question is: why should anybody care? This kind of situation happens to thousands of families across the country and nobody shows up at their doors with news cameras. Quit giving her the spotlight if you REALLY care about her.
