Kiefer Sutherland is Released From Jail

Kiefer Sutherland was released from jail on Monday after serving out his entire 48 day sentence. Kiefer, 41, was originally placed behind bars when he violated probation and foolishly earned himself a second DUI conviction. Unlike Nicole Richie, who served all of 82 minutes, there was clearly no preferential celebrity treatment here.

The 24 star not only spent his birthday locked up, but also lost the chance to spend Christmas with his family. It doesn't look as though he missed much, since he willingly chose to exclude his friends and family from the official visitor request list. Can you blame him? Maybe the guy needed a break from hearing "what were you thinking?" with each and every friendly visit.
