Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA Receives $25,000 Fine

Four months after Dennis and Kimberly Quaid's newborn twins were given an accidental overdose of heparin (a blood thinner), fines are officially being handed out. In the hospital, the babies were mistakenly given of the drug and luckily survived.

As a result of the mix-up, the California Department of Public Health decided to give Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles a $25,000 fine for health violations, according to AP reports. That sounds like nothing more than a slap on the wrist to me.
