Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Confirm the Pregnancy

Ashlee Simpson and hubby Pete Wentz have confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with their first child. Yawn. Tell us something that we don't already know. Ashlee, who recently changed her legal name to Ashlee Wentz, has been playing coy with the media ever since the tabloids began reporting that she was expecting.

"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family," they posted on his site friendsorenemies.com.

As if we couldn't tell by their five minute engagement that something might be amiss. Come on guys, give us a little credit.
