Jamie Lynn Spears Gives Birth to a Daughter

Thursday June 19, 2008
There's nothing more exciting than seeing a child give birth to a baby. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. Teenager Jamie Lynn Spears welcomed a baby girl into the world this morning in Mississippi, according to People.

Jamie, 17, and her fiance Casey Aldridge, 19, named their new daughter Maddie Briann. Her big sister Britney and brother Brian both arrived yesterday to offer up their support. I'm not sure how much help Britney can be when it comes to parenting, but if nothing else, she can always provide entertainment.

you know what, britney is not that bad of a person. she is not the only mother in america to go through a meltdown. at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel for her and she can change what she has done in the past. some people are just so judgemental. take a look at your life and tell me how perfect it is.

You know what? I agree with Private. Anyone who is not followed every second of every day by the paparazzi has no right to judge someone who can’t even venture out for her morning coffee without being accosted. Britney is a young girl struggling with that and mental illness, and it seems that she is trying to do the best that she can. Furthermore, Jamie-Lynn is NOT the first 16 year old girl to get pregnant, and at least she has the resources to care for a baby, not like the welfare-trash pointing their fingers at her.

Leave these girls alone!

Nobody has said anything that wasnt true about any of the girls. Having the financial resources to take care of a child doesnt mean that child will be taken care of. Yea it takes money to care for a child but it also takes responsibility and dedication. Your mind has to be completely focused.

Leave these girls alone? Ha! Did you not hear on the news this morning about the 17 16 yr old girls in Massachusettes who made a pregnancy pact? Yea…16 yr olds and now 17 of them are pregnant. 1 of which got pregnant by a 24 yr old homeless guy. Leave these girls alone? Why?

They put themselves in the public eye. Became icons for young girls and now look at both of them and the message they are sending to these young girls and teenagers. I’m glad her baby was born healthy, but do you really think she’s ready to take on the responsibility of this child?

No. She has a career. She’s young. There will be a lot of things she will want to do. So yea her child may be cared for, but the question is…by who. Will it be her or a hired nanny?

(6) Jamie is a child says:

I completely agree with Z here. This idiot girl goes and gets herself pregnant because she is too lazy or stupid to use a condom and we should have symPathy for her? No way! She made her bed.

Yes! I agree with Z. Finally someone had the guts to say the truth.

I completely agree with Z. I’ve said all a long that Jamie Lynn was setting a bad example for young girls everywhere. At one time I read that she had said that she was going to have the baby but her mom was going to raise it so she could have a career. HELLO you have a baby now you can kiss a lot of things Goodbye.

(10) RR says:

i don’t think she is crazy. that is too harsh even for Jaime and her situation. I think she was irresponsible but she is a TEENAGER they do stupid things in the heat of the moment. She will have to grow up and not live a life of her own now but she has to include her child in her life IF AND ONLY IF she is to take the more responsible route…Jamie dearest it’s time to grow up…give the acting a break, do what you need to do then go back in a few year..that’s what i think but on the other hand it is your life..GOOD LUCK!!!

(11) Lindie says:

Wow, I’m sorry. I forgot that Jamie-Lynn is the *first* 16 year old girl to get pregnant, or for that matter, have sex. Gosh.

The ultimate role models for children should be their *parents*. We, as American Society, need to stop relying on celebrities to be “role models” and remember that they are entertainers. How about taking Jr. to the park and not relying on Nickelodeon to take care of them? Or perhaps teaching Jr. that humans are flawed and make mistakes. I suppose that it is easier to sit back and blame a celeb-scapegoat for your child’s mistakes than to face up and realize that **** HAPPENS.

As far as the teens and their pregnancy pacts? I have no doubt that the incident has NOTHING to do with Jamie-Lynn. These are independant, free-thinking persons that are about to receive a strong dose of reality for their actions, as all young parents do. I hate to burst everyone’s bubble, but teenaged girls do stuff like this all of the time. It is called “seeking attention” and it happens when you have crummy parents.

TURN OFF THE TV AND RAISE YOUR ****ING KIDS.
