In keeping with my theme of attending and reporting back on fabulous NYC events, I have another one for you. On Monday night, Women's Health magazine celebrated their October 2008 issue with an absolutely gorgeous affair on the roof of the Gramercy Hotel. Why were we all up there toasting champagne flutes in honor of actress Elizabeth Banks?Elizabeth, 34, made famous by her role in The 40 Year Old Virgin, is the first celebrity to grace the cover of the magazine. I had a chance to chat with her on the red carpet at Fashion Rocks on Friday and asked her how she felt about the upcoming WH honor.
"I am very flattered, and excited of course, and I'm really happy with it. I think Women's Health is not about being taut and crazy about dieting. They present a healthy, normal lifestyle. I just think you should love the body that you have," she said.
The magazine hits newsstands on September 16 and after getting a sneak peek at her three page interview, I'm even a bigger fan than before. Pick up a copy to read what Elizabeth had to say about going to the gym, plastic surgery, and even sex. Sorry guys, she's happily married.
