Mario Lopez to Host the 2009 Miss America Pageant in Vegas

It look like former Dancing With the Stars hopeful and current Extra TV host Mario Lopez is being tapped to host the Miss America pageant in 2009. Mario brings plenty of experience to the table having successfully hosted the show in 2007. Mario, 35, is said to be in negotiations with TLC and the Miss America Organization to seal the deal.

Brent Zacky, VP of programming for TLC said: "Mario and the Miss America Organization's past relationship has proven beneficial and we look forward to having him in Vegas again this year." The pageant will air live on January 24, 2009 in Las Vegas.
