Clearly not feeling inspired by Amy Winehouse, singer Lily Allen has decided to give up drinking. Remember that 'incident' back in June where she was so drunk that her brother had to carry her out of the Glamour Women of the Year Awards? It was just a few months later when she cursed at Elton John onstage at the UK GQ Men of the Year Awards. Just when you thought there might be a pattern forming, Lily appears to have taken notice. In an interview with the UK Guardian, Lily admitted that her public image is none too pretty. "I've become a character in a comic. And that character is always drunk! I wish my comic character wasn't that, but there's nothing can I do," she said.
She went on to say that she has been clean and sober since September 22 and hopes to continue on the healthy streak.
