The Latest Hollywood Splitsville Update

Wow. We're only six days into 2009 and there are SO many breakups to report. We heard about Katy Perry and Travis McCoy calling it quits right before New Year's, but there are already plenty of new ones to add to the list.
- Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford and her husband of two years, German entrepreneur Daniel Giersch have filed for divorce. They also cited the standard irreconcilable differences when they filed to end their marriage. Oh, did I mention that Kelly is also three months pregnant with their second child? [People]
- Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall have decided not to get married. "They broke up over the holidays and have ended their engagement. They're both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy. Everyone just wants the best for both of them," a source tells People. Jennifer, 29, and Ross, 32, dated for two years before getting engaged in November 2007. [People]
- After 2 1/2 years of marriage, Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane have split citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. Patricia wants sole custody of their daughter Harlow, 5, with visitation for Thomas. She even hired legal superstar, Laura Wasser, to represent her in the case. You may recognize the name as she has worked with Angelina Jolie, Nick Lachey, and Britney Spears. [FoxNews]

This is awful to see so early in the year. But its part of life sadly. People fall in and out of love so fast in celebrity worlds.
Why can’t these idiots make it work? They all want to have the cake and eat it too and there is the real problem. A bunch of spoiled kids.
