A judge in Malawi has officially rejected Madonna's request to adopt a little girl, according to reports from CNN. The 4-year-old girl, Chifundo James, has been living at a local orphanage in Malawi and the judge felt that she was perfectly fine to remain right there."For the Malawians, the fact that the child is at an orphanage, is being taken care of and is going through the school education system, that does qualify as the best interests of a child," said Zione Ntaba, a spokeswoman for the Malawi Justice Department.
The singer did adopt a son, David Banda, from there in 2006, but this time things are different. Critics attacked Madonna, 50, saying that she was abusing her fame and so-called power to expedite the latest adoption process. Today's update proves one thing - it turns out that money actually can't buy everything.

Madonna can’t find an American child who needs a home?
Madona has been out of the lime light for a while and this is perobably why she is trying to do this is to get back in the lime light again I hope not but who knows
No, I don’t think it’s about the ‘limelight’, but I agree w/comment#1 surely there’s plenty of orphans here in the USA?
Madonna should adopt from her homeland! What about all the American Children starving or Orphans. I am sure that the communities that she adopted her foreign children from would have benefited greater to have had $50,000 to use for food, water & grain/seed needs!
She & Anjelina are very selfish in my opinion. They could do so much more with their money. It’s heartbreaking.
