Kiefer Sutherland is scheduled to undergo elective surgery and production of the Fox show 24 is temporarily on hiatus. Kiefer has a ruptured cyst near one of his kidneys and felt it was wise to handle the medical issue sooner than later.
"We are temporarily suspending production of 24 while our friend and colleague Kiefer Sutherland undergoes a medical procedure. We hope to resume production shortly and do not anticipate any disruption in the broadcast of this season's episodes," according to a statement released by the network.
We all wish Kiefer Sutherland a super speedy recovery.
