Actor Corey Haim was found unresponsive early Wednesday morning in his Los Angeles apartment, according to reports from People. He was pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center. Corey, 38, is said to have died of an accidental overdose, but details have not yet been released.

It's not secret that Corey has battled drugs and alcohol for years, but somehow he always managed to pull through. He was best known for films such as The Lost Boys, Lucas and License to Drive. R.I.P Corey Haim.

What did he do for the last 20 years? Not much. Sad that he perished, but not worth all the fuss.

There has been a lot of speculation on how Corey Haim died, but Corey’s mother and his best friend, Corey Feldman both made a statement saying “let’s not jump to conclusions.” Which, if you think about it, that’s true b/c after Michael Jackson died, everyone was thinking the worst about him – that he overdosed by himself! Not true, he was murdered by Dr. Conrad Murray, who is now up for Manslaughter in the case. So, until the autopsy reports come in, I think we should respect Haim and his family…

When the news about the death of a celebrity who is or was once on top of the world, by drugs, alcohol, anorexia or depression related reasons; I realize how much we have to learn about making people around us feel loved and appreciated for who he/she is.

True that self destructive personality is cause of pain and despair in so many families but the person who is self destroying is in so much cases asking for help, filling his/her inner void with anything they can grab.

Whether Corey’s death was an accident or suicide is not the point. The point is that he was not ok. I know that as me, there are some who would had given some support to a guy who’s movies we enjoyed when we were teens because artist are humans with ups and downs and they need friends like anyone.

But, the idea is not like to look for depressed artist to be friends to, is to care for the people around us, to break the silence and to be alert for help cries.
