Singer/designer/supermom Gwen Stefani has been given the assignment of designing the official uniforms for the W hotel chain's female lounge staff, according to People magazine. Now that sounds like a challenging but very cool gig that I'm sure most designers would love to have.
In keeping with her L.A.M.B. vibe, the fitted black mini-dresses will be made from a comfortable jersey fabric with an asymmetrical feel. Spanning fashion generations, Gwen gave the design an ’80s silhouette with ’60s seam detailing and side vents.
“I wanted to design a super cute dress that I would be excited to have in my own closet and approached it in the same way I think about my clothing for a tour. We’ve designed a sexy and comfortable outfit for these women to wear out on their own stage every night,” Gwen told People.
In case you were wondering what the rest of the W Hotel staff will be wearing, don't worry. They've been sporting Michael Kors uniforms for quite some time now. At least they can take the money that they would've spent on work clothes and just have fun with it.
