There's a new Billy Joel book on the market and it covers more than just news and photos. The scandalous new book is titled Billy Joel: The Biography and digs deeper into the life of the singer than ever before.
Author Mark Bego chronicles Billy's life from a painful childhood where he was abandoned by his father at the age of eight to his battle with alcohol addiction. The book includes candid photos from the singer's early but wild party years. There is even a scandalous shot of Christie Brinkley's ex wobbling onstage from one drink too many.
The author said he was initially drawn to the singer because regardless of his fame and fortune, his true inner sadness fuels his music. Mark has penned 50 celebrity biographies in the last 30 years including Aretha Franklin, Leo DiCaprio, Bette Midler, Whitney Houston, and Barry Manilow. Something tells me that the Billy Joel book has the potential to be his most successful attempt yet.
