Download Free Sheryl Crow Music and Rock the Vote

Sheryl Crow announced that she plans to give away free music to try and get people to rock the vote this year. The Grammy Award-winning breast cancer survivor will give a FREE digital copy of her album Detours to the first 50,000 people who take the initiative to register three friends to vote, according to CNN.

Lucky fans who are part of the Rock the Vote mailing list will also get free goodies. Those people will be able to download a copy of her song titled "Gasoline" at no charge. Sheryl, 46, was one of the first people in the music industry to help Rock the Vote 18 years ago.

"It's about the issues that everyone's talking about, but there's a lot of hope. At this moment in my life, writing about anything else would be uninteresting and impossible because I feel such urgency," she said.

The Rock the Vote campaign has set a lofty goal of registering 2 million young people to vote by election time in November.
