The Perfect Couple
Grammy award winning Sheryl Crow and champion cyclist Lance Armstrong seemed like the perfect little couple. Sheryl supported Lance through his final Tour de France win and he supported her music career.
She even proudly admitted that her relationship with Lance was the inspiration behind her latest album "Wildflower". Sheryl proudly wore his yellow bracelet and openly embraced his ex-wife, Kristin, and their three children. If it was all so wonderful, why are they splitting up after 3 great years together?
Trouble in Paradise
Rumored reports of a possible split began circulating around the holidays, only months after the couple became engaged in September 2005. The couple vehemently denied the reports with ever positive Sheryl even trying on Vera Wang wedding gowns and talking to reporters about a spring wedding in Austin, Texas.
Calling it Quits
Looks like she won't be needing that Vera Wang gown after all. After months of speculation, Sheryl and Lance announced in a joint statement on February 3rd, 2006 that they have decided to split. The couple had been dating since shortly after meeting at an event in October 2003.
This would have been her first marriage and his second. Lance split from his wife Kristin in 2003 after 5 years of marriage and they share custody of Luke, 6, and twins Isabelle and Grace, 4.
