James Blunt, former flame of Petra Nemcova, admits to British GQ magazine that he basically tried to auction off his sister a few years ago. "I came back to the flat where my sister was staying and she was crying because she couldn't get to a funeral in Ireland. The planes were on strike, the ferry was out of season, and there were no trains," James told the magazine.
The singer came up with an interesting idea for getting his sad sister over to Ireland. James, 33, placed an auction ad on eBay looking for 'a knight in shining armor' and they were bombarded with offers. Lucky for them, the man with the winning bid had his own helicopter.
As it turned out, his sister Emily accepted the offer, flew to Ireland with the winning bidder, and the rest as they say was history. "That was three years ago. This summer they're getting married. That was the stupidest thing I've ever sold on eBay - my sister," he said.
