Contrary to rumors, Nicole Richie and Hilary Duff's ex Joel Madden are not engaged. At least that's what their PR people are saying in response to recent rumors. This particular bit of gossip all started when Nicole was seen sporting a diamond encrusted band on the very finger that would normally hold an engagement ring.
Taking it up a notch, photographers caught her new beau Joel sporting a very similar ring on the same finger of his left hand. Could there be any truth to the rumors? If so, this wouldn't be Nicole's first attempt at a walk down the aisle.
Nicole was previously engaged to DJ AM, who is currently linked to Mandy Moore, who allegedly hooked up with Wilmer Valderrama, who was also linked to Ashlee Simpson.
