Gloria Estefan made the decision to cancel all of her publicity events for the near future to be with her sick mother in the hospital, according to an exclusive report from PerezHilton.
Apparently Gloria's mother, who bears the same first name, became very ill and was rushed to a hospital in Miami, Florida.
Gloria was in LA planning to make appearances with Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, and was even going to have a cameo on Dancing With the Stars this week.
She quickly dropped everything and headed straight back to Miami when she got the news that her mother was in critical condition. Now that's what we call strong family values - we wish her mother a speedy recovery indeed.
