When the producers of FOX's Skating with Celebrities paired World Champion skater Lloyd Eisler, 42, with actress Kristy Swanson, 36, they expected a certain amount of chemistry. Before posing for the November 2002 issue of Playboy magazine, Kristy appeared in several commercials, tv shows, and movies. She even co-starred with Charlie Sheen in 3 films, including the cult favorite Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Swanson, who began acting at the tender age of 9, is probably best known for starring in the 1992 film Buffy the Vampire Slayer. When she agreed to be part of the celebrity skating show, she probably didn't expect to find love on the ice.
How it Started
When Kristy met her assigned skating partner for the show, Lloyd Eisler, sources say that the two hit it off immediately. They may have tried to keep their relationship a secret from the rest of the set, but people were already buzzing. When Lloyd's very pregnant wife Marcia visited the set in the fall, she felt a strange vibe that something wasn't right. When word got out of the alleged affair, Lloyd was asked to move out of the home in Ontario that he shared with his wife and their young son Ethan Harley.
Where it Stands Now
Lloyd and his wife Marcia officially separated on November 30, 2005 and only weeks later, she gave birth to their second son, Seth. Marcia is so devastated by the alleged affair that she has already changed her last name back to O'Brien (her maiden) and has also done the same for her two young children. Lloyd and Kristy maintain that his marriage was as good as over before the two began their relationship. People who saw the new couple at a press event described them as appearing to be very happy.
