Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake Split

Actress Cameron Diaz and singer Justin Timberlake have decided to split. In a joint statement released today, Justin and Cameron ended the speculation and announced the official news that their nearly four year relationship is really over.

"It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media. We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship, and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another," the couple said in a statement released today.

Cameron, 34, and Justin, 25, had been dating since 2003 when they first met at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. It wasn't long before these two were attached at the hip doing everything from surfing to taking in basketball games. Despite the age difference, these two always managed to make it work.

Rumor has it that Cameron's clock may have been ticking a little louder than Britney Spears' ex Justin would have liked. As much as she claimed that she wasn't ready for marriage and babies, I think she was just trying to save face. Underneath the rough facade, I think she really was ready to settle down with the right guy. Here's hoping that her perfect man hasn't already been snatched up by some other gorgeous blonde.
