Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are Engaged

Did I call this one or what? It was a little over a month ago that I posted a rumor that Ashlee Simpson might be pregnant and/or engaged to her rocker boyfriend Pete Wentz. At least one of the two bits of gossip turned out to be true as Ashlee Simpson, 23, and Pete Wentz, 28, officially announced to the world that they are engaged and planning to get married. The happy couple released the following statement posted on People.com: "We know there has been a lot of speculation recently and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us."

I’ll be curious to see how long this lasts…they broke up and got back together so many times, not the best scenerio leading into a marriage- hello Jessica and Nick!
Paula is right on This one. When couples make up break up that many times in the first year alone it can be a indicator of future problems. I don’t see a long term marriage for these guys either.
