Just days ago, singer Mandy Moore shocked her fans with the announcement that she was engaged and planning to get married. Who is the lucky suitor? That would be none other than her on again/off again boyfriend of less than a year, rocker Ryan Adams. Mandy's first interview was granted to The Bonnie Hunt Show and the episode airs today. Personally, I think it was a good move since the show tends to be light and definitely on the funny side. When Bonnie congratulated Mandy, 24, on the impending nuptials with Ryan, 34, she responded sweetly saying, "Thank you, I appreciate it. I am very happy."
Okay, so I hate to be a party pooper, but doesn't Mandy have a new album due to be released this May? Let's just hope this whole engagement thing isn't nothing more than another publicity stunt.

Well, I don’t think I have to tell anyone how much of a wrong move this is for her. I’m sure Ryan is an alright guy from all accounts, but why ruin a great friendship. She needs to focus on her own life and development. Maybe she can get back into fashion soon. Destroying what she’s got with a shaky show biz marriage idea is not the right move.
