Actor Mel Gibson was a guest on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night and was more than happy to confirm the recent pregnancy rumors. Mel, 53, told Jay that not only was he in a relationship with musician Oksana Grigorieva, but she is pregnant with their first child. Jay quipped, "The rumor I have heard is that you guys are going to have a child?" and Mel said "This is true. We're gonna have a child." In an attempt to lighten the mood, when Jay asked if this would be Mel's 29th child, the actor/director replied, "Well, actually eight. I guess I'm Octo-Mel."
Mel even opened up about the end of his 28-year marriage to Robyn Gibson. "My wife and I, our marriage ended three years ago and we've been separated ever since then. These things happen. It's unfortunate, it's sad, but you know she is an admirable woman - we still got kids together. We're friends," he said.
Unfortunately, I suspect that things won't still be this amicable between Mel and Robyn once the courts get involved and money is on the table.

Sometimes when I’m sitting at my job, I wonder what life would have been like if I would have given up a career and just had famous people’s babies– like an astonishly large amount of women do in Hollywood. Living off a guy’s money keeps sounding better and better.
