Well folks, it's basically official that Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher and American Idol host Ryan Seacrest are an item. At least that's what it sounds like from what Ryan is saying. Seacrest appeared on the The Tonight Show With Jay Leno this weekend and chirped like a canary. He gushed about Hatcher when Leno questioned him about published photos of the couple kissing on the beach.

"She's fantastic, she's great. I think she's a beautiful woman, she's a great dresser," Seacrest said. Teri Hatcher is considered fairly rail-like even by Hollywood standards, but Ryan doesn't seem to mind. He added, "We can share jeans, it's perfect." Maybe when he grows tired of Teri, he can move on to the waif-like Olsen sisters or possibly even Nicole Richie. At least he can expect to save some money on the dinner tabs.

Update: This little relationship lasted all of about a week before Ryan allegedly cut it off. Teri was said to be hurt, but I think she'll survive.
