In a Yahoo entertainment poll, Pirates of the Caribbean star Keira Knightley was chosen as the greatest movie starlet ever to hit the big screen. Keira, 21, somehow even managed to edge out the great Judy Garland.
Gorgeous actress Scarlett Johansson came in at second place, with Shirley Temple rounding out the top five. According to Handbag.com, a spokesperson for Yahoo explained that Keira Knightley is definitely a starlet.
The rep explained, "A starlet is an actress who people instantly think of as being young, vivacious, stylish, popular and most of all, talented." That certainly sounds a lot like our girl Keira, who steers clear of all scandalous behavior.
