On Monday March 16, 2010, after taking a nasty spill on a ski slope in Canada, Natasha Richardson suffered serious damage to her head. The very next day, The NY Post reported that Natasha was brain dead but the news was not yet confirmed.
Upon hearing what happened, her husband, Liam Neeson, immediately left the set of his film to be by her side. What seemed so strange was that Natasha, 45, was walking around after the accident and even told doctors that she felt okay. About an hour later, she began to complain of headaches and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of Sacre Coeur Hospital in very serious condition.
On March 18, 2010, actress Natasha Richardson was pronounced dead at the young age of 45 in Canada. Natasha's heartbroken family released the following statement to the press:
"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."
